HISTORY ROOM

About

The Jackson County History Room is now welcoming researchers, with a few restrictions. Please call ahead to make a reservation with Historian Mary I. Woods. You may phone her at 715-284-4112 # 3 or email her at m.woods@wrlsweb.org. Her hours are Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday from 11 am to 4:30 pm, or by appointment. Masks are recommended as is social distancing. If you are not able to visit the History Room, please send Mary an email with your questions/requests and she will respond in a timely fashion. She looks forward to helping you with your research.

Goals

1. To assist in the collection and preservation of written historical information concerning Jackson County and its people.
2. To disseminate that information to the public for the purpose of enjoyment, education, and research, including genealogical research.

Donations

Many of the resources you use during your visit to the Jackson County History Room are acquired by personal donations. Your donation is greatly appreciated.  Questions regarding the History Room should be directed to Mary I. Murray Woods, Historian, at m.woods@blackriverfallslibrary.org.
