The Library will be hosting a series of programs on the “Symphony of the Soil” video.
May 28, 6 p.m. Greenhorns (Documentary movie) and a Seed and Plant exchange (share your stuff!)
The Greenhorns documentary film, completed after almost 3 years in production, explores the lives of America’s young farming community- its’ spirit, practices, and needs. It is the filmmaker’s hope that by broadcasting the stories and voices of these young farmers, we can build the case for those considering a career in agriculture- to embolden them, to entice them, and recruit them into farming.
VFW ‘White Table Ceremony’ to be held at the Black River Falls Public Library on Tuesday, May 28
The VFW will present a ‘White Table Ceremony’ honoring our veterans who have given, and continue to give, their all for our country.
The reason for this ceremony is to acknowledge the inability of our missing to be with us in the celebrations we hold, because they have been left behind, and to honor their sacrifice for this country. This is a very moving ceremony and has been known to spark interest in people who never realized the scope of this issue.
The ceremony will take place on Tuesday, May 28 from 10:30 a.m. until noon. The public is invited to attend.
Library Closed for Staff Training
