Markie Pendleton kicked off the Summer Program this year with her bee's. Markie used her storytelling techniques along with help from books to illustrate the lives of honeybees and the work of beekeepers. Her program will provided young future beekeepers and those interested in honeybees and pollination with fascinating facts at a level for all ages.
Trisha Wagner, Jackson County Ag Agent, talked to the kids about the Benefits of Bugs during the summer program. She showed the life cycle and how different bugs are dependent on others and set up stations show the different bugs one could catch as a sweeper, a flyer or a ground crawler.

Ozseeker, Karen Burrell, the Clown had some special magic to share with the kids with her flee circus. Karen was professionally trained by former Ringling clowns and other amazing family entertainment professionals.
Bruce the Bug Guy Entotained the kids with hands on fun with bugs. His 60 minutes program was packed with information, interaction and insects. Dr. Bruce Giebink, PhD is an entomologist from Lino Lakes, MN.
